About Kat
Kat was born in the picturesque town of Motueka, New Zealand. As a young adult, she embarked on an overseas journey that took her across multiple continents, including Europe, Asia, Canada, and Africa. These experiences paved the way for an exciting career in international travel writing and consulting.
After years of nurturing her passion for photography alongside her travel work, Kat returned to New Zealand to pursue full-time studies at the Mel Phillips Photo School in Wellington. Her dedication and love for photography saw her excel in the course, earning a diploma with 'Excellence.'
Photography runs in Kat’s family — her grandfather was a professional photographer, sparking what may have been the start of her passion. However, it was through discovering her own artistic and creative abilities that her personal journey truly began. Kat is driven by the joy of capturing timeless moments and prides herself on delivering unique, high-quality image solutions.
With over 20 years in business, her experience lies in commercial works, digital enhancements and portraiture. In recent years, she has expanded into team and sports action photography. Committed to exceeding client expectations, Kat works closely with clients to tailor her services to meet their specific needs.
